Our current membership fee is £12 per year (£8.50 if already a member of another u3a). Some groups charge a small additional fee (typically £2 per session) to cover room hire and refreshments.

£3.50 of the membership fee is paid to our national organisation, the Third Age Trust, which provides a wide range of services and benefits, including liability insurance cover. You will become a member of the Third Age Trust, which organises other learning activities including weekend and summer schools and online events. You can also receive printed copies of the Third Age Trust's national magazine "Third Age Matters", which is published five times a year.

We produce our own quarterly email Newsletter containing news items and listing future events which is distributed to members and covered by the membership fee. If you would like a copy of our latest newsletter prior to joining, contact the Membership Secretary .

Our target membership is "people no longer in full-time paid employment". We hope that after exploring our website you decide to join us but you're welcome to come along to any of the Talks or one or two group activities for a taster before joining.
