The aims of the group are:

• to give us all an incentive to write poetry by having a topic and a deadline
• to learn from others how they approach writing poetry
• to give and receive constructive comments in a positive, friendly and supportive environment
• to enjoy each other's company

We agree a (rough) brief for a poem each month. Contributions are circulated before the meeting where each poem is read out and discussed. If you’re interested and would like to find out more, then please contact Rachel. Anyone is welcome to come along and find out what we do. You don’t have to have written poetry before, or have any special expertise or knowledge, and you don’t need to write anything before you come.
